How to get from Faro Airport to Hotel Alísios (Albufeira) by car

1. When leaving Faro Airport, follow the signs for Portimão .

2. After about 6 km , you will see signs for the A22 (Via do Infante) with directions Portimão / Lisbon / A22 / Loulé . Enter the A22.

3. Follow the A22 for approximately 30 km until you reach the exit for Albufeira / Lisbon .

4. Head towards Albufeira and enter the city.

5. Continuing on, you will reach a roundabout with a Repsol gas station on the left — go straight ahead.

6. At the next roundabout (with a Lidl on the left), continue straight ahead.

7. Further ahead you will find traffic lights and another roundabout known as the "clock" — continue straight ahead.

8. At the next roundabout, turn right .

9. Continue until you reach another roundabout with three palm trees — turn right again.

10. Continue straight ahead for about 800 meters . The Hotel Alísios will be on your left.

Route via A2 → A22 → Albufeira → Hotel Alísios

1. On the A2 , follow the motorway to the end , where it connects to the A22 (Via do Infante) .

2. Take the A22 towards Portimão / Albufeira .

3. Continue along the A22 for about 25–30 km until you reach the exit for Albufeira (usually indicated as Albufeira / Guia ).

4. Upon exiting, follow the signs towards the center of Albufeira .

5. As you enter the city, you'll come across several roundabouts. Use these landmarks:

   • At the roundabout with the Repsol gas station on the left → go straight ahead .

   • At the next roundabout (with Lidl on the left) → go straight ahead .

   • Pass the traffic lights and the clock roundabout → continue straight ahead .

   • At the next roundabout → turn right .

   • At the roundabout with three palm trees → turn right again.

6. Continue approximately 800 meters .

7. The Hotel Alísios appears on the left , next to the sea.

1. By car / taxi (simpler and faster)

Duration: ~12–15 minutes
Distance: ~7–8 km

Route:

1. Exit the station and turn left , following the signs for Albufeira .

2. Enter the M526 road towards the center of Albufeira.

3. Continue straight ahead until you reach the Rotunda dos Descobrimentos (the large roundabout with blue/green sculptures).

4. At this roundabout, take the exit towards Avenida dos Descobrimentos / Centro / Praia dos Pescadores .

5. Continue along the main avenue until you reach the roundabout with the "clock" (known as the Clock Roundabout ).

6. Continue straight ahead at this roundabout.

7. At the next roundabout, turn right .

8. Continue until you reach the roundabout with three palm trees and turn right .

9. Drive for about 800 meters — the Hotel Alísios will appear on your left , next to the sea.

2. By bus

There is no direct connection from the station to the hotel, but there is a practical way:

Option:

• Take bus 17 (VAMUS Algarve) from Ferreiras station – CP train station to Albufeira Bus Terminal .

• Then, from the terminal to the Hotel Alísios, you need to:

  • Walk for about 20–25 minutes , or

  • Take a taxi / Uber (5–7 minutes).

3. Taxi / Uber

The most convenient option from the station.
It typically costs €10–14 and takes about 12 minutes .
